No costly prime membership is required nor is any bogus minimum order amount required.
Delivery time varies based on the product but is typically 2-5 business days, but may be up to 4+ weeks for large freight items like couches.
LOCALLY MADE TO ORDER, SOLID WOOD FURNITURE
Average turn-around time from date of purchase till pick-up or delivery of a made to order solid-wood furniture purchase is 4-6 weeks. Turn-around may be as short as 2 weeks and as long as 12 weeks.
Nearly all custom furniture orders may be picked up for free within 60 miles of any metropolitan area in the continental United States.
However, local delivery for custom furniture is also available!
Cost for custom furniture delivery is based on your proximity to your personal Hawkins Woodshop furniture artisan. You are assigned and introduced to your HW carpenter after purchase. Delivery cost is paid directly to your HW personal furniture artisan 2-3 days prior to scheduled delivery via any payment method you chose (Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, FB Pay, Check, Cash, Credit Card, etc).

< 20 miles = $89.97
21-45 miles = $129.97
46-74 miles = $189.97
75-100 miles = $269.97
101-130 miles = $349.97

How much time after I purchase do I have to cancel for a refund?
There are no cancellations or refunds for any order under any circumstances for any reason. If an item arrives damaged or missing parts, Colby and Madilyn Hawkins will work with the manufacturer to provide you parts or a replacement as quickly as possible.
These terms are posted on each product page, on our home page, and require customer consent during checkout and prior to a purchase.
Immediately after placing an order our suppliers go to work getting your order out the door. Due to this, orders can’t be changed or canceled. However, if it arrives damaged or missing parts we get you replacement(s) free of charge, of course!
In extenuating circumstances, customers may cancel an order within 24 hours of purchase via texting 916-692-0554 or emailing sales@hawkinswoodshop.com for store credit.
Will you refund me back onto my card?
Never will an approved order cancellation (one that is done immediately after purchase) be refunded back onto an original payment method. All approved cancellations done prior to receiving an order confirmation by text or email will be refunded back via store credit within 2-3 business days.
Again, once a purchase is confirmed, even prior to shipping, there can be no cancellation under any circumstance and for any reason.
How much time after receiving my non custom order do I have to ask to return the item?
We do not accept returns for any reason. If a product arrives damaged/missing parts please contact Colby at 916-692-0554 or kindly email sales@hawkinswoodshop.com. Rest assured, we'll help get you a free replacement or free delivery of any missing parts.
Shipping delays or other factors beyond our family's immediate control do not constitute grounds for cancellation or a refund.

Orders lost by a carrier are not grounds for cancellation. All lost or damaged delivered orders will be replaced free of charge.

Given its hand made and hand-finished nature, variations and imperfections in solid, real-wood furniture are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is an original and no two pieces are exactly alike. By their nature, wood planks may be somewhat uneven and may develop small cracks and cup or bow over time due to changes in temperature or humidity. We believe this only enhances the furniture's rustic, unique character.
There are no cancellations or refunds on built-to-order furniture.

After a year of searching, I stumbled on to this. Just assembled and found it easy. Although one item was missing. It was the drafting table paper holder so it was not a major piece and can easily live without it. But I did contact the company, 25 Jul 21. Let's see how long they will take to get it here. The entire L-shape table looks great in my home office area. The color is very striking and it is very sturdy. People were complaining that the holes did not line up. This was not the case. The only recommendation I have is that if you're farsighted and have to use a 2.0 reading glasses like me, suggest you ask someone with better eyesight or a magnifier. The pictures in the instructions were clear but were small and was difficult for me to see the little holes. I had to backstep a couple of times, but I kept the screws loose so it was easy. Also, at the end. When assembling the drafting table, you must use a drill bit to make holes to secure hinges. But was easy. Remember to attach hinges to the rail first, then align/drill holes to the wood. Remember not to tighten the screws and just leave at 50 or 70% tight. The instructions mentions this on the front page. Also, you can tighten the screws that are underneath because if you don't, you'll have a difficult time tightening them after you assemble the tops of the table and once you cover up those screws. I assembled myself with a hex nut attached to screwdriver and a drill bit at the end. See pics.
Update (5 Jul 21): After emailing the company, they responded the next day and said that piece is on its way. I received the missing part in about 10 working days. Great company! Highly Recommend It.

Good desk

I work from home and was using my workspace for both work and artwork. It was becoming cluttered and annoying so I was looking for a corner desk with more space that I could separate the two activities and declutter a bit. This desk is perfect for me. I use a 34" monitor and that fits perfectly on the riser. I'm considering adding a second monitor, it would fit just fine.
The drafting table side is nice, but there are some quirks -
- I wouldn't trust it in 'tilt' mode over time. It's a little flimsy when it's tilted up. I don't use it that way so not big deal. I prefer a flat surface, but if you like to work on a tilted surface I could see the mechanisms that hold it together breaking.
- The arm underneath the drafting table is perfectly located so that I hit my knee on it all the time. Given my point above, I'm considering taking the arm off and just making it permanently flat, consider the above.
Aside from that, not other issues from me! I wasn't sure how sturdy the desk would be by looking at the pictures. Aside from the issue with the drafting table above, this is a very sturdy desk.
I thought about lowering to five stars because of the drafting table, but I think overall it deserves five because of the value and uniqueness of the product. I'm happy with it!

I got this desk because it is larger than most and that suited my needs and the space I have for it perfectly. Some of the reviews for this desk are not so good so I was wary, but I took a chance anyway because of the size. I am very glad I took the chance. This desk is actually very, very nice. Very big and rock solid sturdy. Be aware it is time consuming to assemble, especially for one person. I took my time with it and put it together over 3 days because I was also working other projects. Unlike some of the other reviews, I found it extremely easy to put together. Every screw and hole lined up perfectly for me with no issues. However, my eyesight is not great. I had one slightly damaged part most likely due to roughly handled shipping: the tilting drawing board. I did not notice the damage because of my eyesight until the desk was almost completely put together as the tilting board is the last piece. I certainly did not want to take it back apart to return it. I contacted the manufacturer via email hoping to get a replacement part. Unfortunately, they did not have a replacement part. They offered me a 30% refund instead which I accepted. 30% was more than I expected and the damage was not major so I was fine with it. Besides I will be using protective mats on the desk surface anyway so the slight amount of damage it has will not be seen or affect my work. That might not work for everyone though so if you get this desk make sure you really examine all parts closely before putting it together. If you see damage from shipping just send it back, as they may not have a replacement part. Other than not having the part which I would have preferred over a refund, the customer service was good. So all in all, I am happy. The desk is awesome, you just have to watch out for shipping damage.
