No costly prime membership is required nor is any bogus minimum order amount required.
Delivery time varies based on the product but is typically 2-5 business days, but may be up to 4+ weeks for large freight items like couches.
LOCALLY MADE TO ORDER, SOLID WOOD FURNITURE
Average turn-around time from date of purchase till pick-up or delivery of a made to order solid-wood furniture purchase is 4-6 weeks. Turn-around may be as short as 2 weeks and as long as 12 weeks.
Nearly all custom furniture orders may be picked up for free within 60 miles of any metropolitan area in the continental United States.
However, local delivery for custom furniture is also available!
Cost for custom furniture delivery is based on your proximity to your personal Hawkins Woodshop furniture artisan. You are assigned and introduced to your HW carpenter after purchase. Delivery cost is paid directly to your HW personal furniture artisan 2-3 days prior to scheduled delivery via any payment method you chose (Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, FB Pay, Check, Cash, Credit Card, etc).
Built-to-order furniture delivery rates are:
< 20 miles = $89.97
21-45 miles = $129.97
46-74 miles = $189.97
75-100 miles = $269.97
101-130 miles = $349.97

How much time after I purchase do I have to cancel for a refund?
There are no cancellations or refunds for any order under any circumstances for any reason. If an item arrives damaged or missing parts, Colby and Madilyn Hawkins will work with the manufacturer to provide you parts or a replacement as quickly as possible.
These terms are posted on each product page, on our home page, and require customer consent during checkout and prior to a purchase.
Immediately after placing an order our suppliers go to work getting your order out the door. Due to this, orders can’t be changed or canceled. However, if it arrives damaged or missing parts we get you replacement(s) free of charge, of course!
In extenuating circumstances, customers may cancel an order within 24 hours of purchase via texting 916-692-0554 or emailing sales@hawkinswoodshop.com for store credit.
Will you refund me back onto my card?
Never will an approved order cancellation (one that is done immediately after purchase) be refunded back onto an original payment method. All approved cancellations done prior to receiving an order confirmation by text or email will be refunded back via store credit within 2-3 business days.
Again, once a purchase is confirmed, even prior to shipping, there can be no cancellation under any circumstance and for any reason.
How much time after receiving my non custom order do I have to ask to return the item?
We do not accept returns for any reason. If a product arrives damaged/missing parts please contact Colby at 916-692-0554 or kindly email sales@hawkinswoodshop.com. Rest assured, we'll help get you a free replacement or free delivery of any missing parts.
Shipping delays or other factors beyond our family's immediate control do not constitute grounds for cancellation or a refund.

Orders lost by a carrier are not grounds for cancellation. All lost or damaged delivered orders will be replaced free of charge.

Given its hand made and hand-finished nature, variations and imperfections in solid, real-wood furniture are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is an original and no two pieces are exactly alike. By their nature, wood planks may be somewhat uneven and may develop small cracks and cup or bow over time due to changes in temperature or humidity. We believe this only enhances the furniture's rustic, unique character.
There are no cancellations or refunds on built-to-order furniture.

Extremely solid construction, good for all mattress types

My wife and I purchased this frame in preparation for upgrading to a Purple mattress, so we have had both a standard box spring and mattress on this frame and now the Purple mattress. This frame is replacing a $250 cherry wood full bedframe/headboard/footboard. I am 6'4" 265lbs and my wife is 5'11". We are large people and rather rough on our bed frame. Due to night time nursing sessions and a special needs child we are in and out of bed multiple times a night. This put so much stress on our last bedframe that we actually cracked multiple pieces of solid wood at the connection points. So far this frame has been extremely solid and has not moved during our in and out sessions.
Packaging:
The frame comes in a relatively manageable box. There are 5 main pieces, one for each side and one for the center structure. The rest are slats and corner connections. It is actually surprisingly light due to the hollow rectangular tube design, and can be handled by 1 person with minimal difficulty.
Assembly:
I've seen some complaints on assembly, instructions, and parts. We did not have any of these problems. The instructions definitely leave something to be desired and hopefully will be improved in the future. The main difficulty with assembly is that the instructions refer to part numbers, but in my case only the 4 corner pieces were labeled. Honestly though, this was not an issue. Examining all the parts beforehand solves the issue as the 2 sides are longer than the top and bottom piece. So the only ones that needed labels are labeled. That being said, labeling all the parts would make the instructions easier to follow. All in all it took me about 30 min to assemble: Connect corners to side rails, connect top and bottom rails to corners, install center structure, install slats.
Product Quality:
The only "complaint" I could have about this product is that i scratched off the black paint in one or two places because I wasn't being careful. But that is my fault, and you can't see it. As stated we had both a standard box spring and mattress on this, as well as just the Purple mattress with no box spring. The box spring fit well, no left/right movement and about 1" of space front to back. Our Purple mattress is a bit more snug left to right, I had to tuck the sides down into the frame a bit, and there is still a small amount of space front to back, but its barely noticeable.
As stated I am a fairly large man, and so far this frame has been excellent. Very supportive with both mattress types and not prone to shifting when we get in and out. There is no metal on metal squeaking (which I was concerned about). All the posts have plastic caps on the bottom, but we still chose to add protectors to the bottom because we have hardwoods.
*Warning for clumsy people* - The only warning I would give about this bedframe is that it is VERY sturdy. I am pretty clumsy and have already caught my toe on the posts once. My toe is now purple, to match my mattress :). My wife is installing pool noodles around the posts now. So watch out if you have big feet.

My UPS delivery driver was pleased I had the gate open so he could drive up and deliver this 50+ pound box to my door. Actually, I'm glad I followed the tracking on this one was well or I would have ended up having to schlep it from the neighbor's. It had all the parts as listed in the packaging. The instructions could have included more clear assembly images and notes. It may be common knowledge for some but there was nothing in the instruction that told me what to do with the flat wrench. I figured it out though by watching a YouTube video on what a locking nut was. I did not know how it goes on (again, not in the instructions). The flat side of the nut goes to the inside. Use the wrench to hold the nut while tightening the screw. See...a couple more sentences would have saved me time. Regardless, it wasn't too bad to assemble. Oh, but the sturdiness! This is a solid sturdy frame. Well designed. Very good value! With a box spring (not needed, but I have one so I use it), oversize king Serta mattress, heavy 4 in foam topper, bedding, two adults and a dog.... estimated about 1000 pounds on this frame. It's been a week and I love it. So solid and grounded much more so than the wood slat/wood frame bed I replaced. It's quiet too. Well done!

I weigh 319lb, and I am used to beds falling through on me and I love this frame. I have a bad back L1 and L2 are squished and L3 heading that way and this bed and frame has made it so I wake up pain free every morning. I sleepy sound and dont have to worry about dropping because the bed frame caves. They supplied everything I needed including tools. As long as you know how to use the two tools included you should be fine. But I love this frame and will never buy another brand. I've been in the world almost 28 years and every bed frame I've ever had has always failed me. This frame is a hassle to put together but it is worth the hassle.
